Japanese Garden - Photographed by Haruzo Ohashi
OverzichtThe Japanese garden. Into this limited space the Japanese condensed their aesthetic sense. Gardens are an element when talking about the Japanese culture. This is an attempt to present the beauty and the philosophy of Japanese landscaping art through more than a hundred noted gardens all over Japan. In this photo collection, expressions of these gardens changing from season to season were caught by Mr. Haruzo Ohashi with his aesthetic sense of uncomparable delicacy.
The author, standing foremost in the field of garden photos, has established his own world which no one can imitate. Photographic gems were selected from his work of over 30 years as a photographer and were reproduced here in impressive color. A brief description of the respective gardens and valuable photo-graphic data are contained on the last pages of this book. For the preface, Mr. Shimpei Kusano, one of the most prominent poets in Japan, contributed an essay on the Japanese garden, in his crisp and sharp style.
