Triump Spitfire and GT6 File

The Triumph Spitfire, based on the successful Herald chassis, first saw the light of day in 1962 and continued in production right through to 1980, with many changes on the way. It was a nimble, uncomplicated and appealingly-styled sports car that gave plenty of open air fun to its owners.

Its cousin the GT6 came on the scene in 1966, offering mile-eating motoring with six-cylinder muscle and flexibility. Both models have recently begun to attract the attention of classic-car enthusiasts, with the result that prices are rising and many restorations are under way.
